7 World Jewelry Trends That Will Make Your Outfit Unique ...

By Laura6 Comments

World jewelry trends are great for making your outfit stand out. Go to almost any country, and you will notice that its jewelry trends are different from the last one. That’s what I love about our planet; it is so diverse! It’s hard pinning down my seven favorite trends, but always worth giving it a bash.

1 Thai Necklaces

Thai necklaces are bright and vibrant. They make the most of any gem available, and deliver the same serenity their country’s beautiful beaches project. In general, Thai jewelry trends rock my world. I am hoping to go there one day so I can buy some authentic pieces. If you are a bright and vibrant lady, they should rock yours too!

Frequently asked questions

2 Hawaiian Jewelry

One adorable aspect of Hawaiian jewelry is how it celebrates nature. Pieces seem to draw on beautiful fauna, or the soothing nature of the sea. Natural shell necklaces are also a huge feature. So if you like the look of pearls but cannot afford them, they are great for saving money. Sea glass is another big feature of Hawaiian jewelry!

3 Ghanaian Beads

When I went to Ghana I tried to bring back as many beads as I could! Sadly, some of them broke while I was rushing during a flight connection. To me, a lot of Ghanaian beads ooze the same earthy charm of the country, while incorporating bright colors. Glass is a common feature, as is wood.

4 Navajo Jewelry

Navajo jewelry stems from the largest Native American tribe in the southwest. As a Brit, my first experience of this came through Etsy! I am so glad that place exists, because it is probably the only way for me to get my hands on some original pieces. Every so often I come across Navajo rings from the 1960s. There is something mystical and captivating about them, so I am planning on adding more to my collection.

5 Fleur De Lis Jewelry

This stylized French lily is a symbol many designers weave into many things. I see them a lot on signet rings, but that isn’t really my thing. I particularly love Fleur de Lis bracelets. It almost seems as though the bracelet is extending from the flower itself!

6 Claddagh Lockets

Claddagh rings and lockets were given as signs of promises. These Irish beauties are always a little precious and cute. Usually they feature hands joining. Sometimes they feature a single heart. Either way, I think they make great first jewelry pieces for teens, or cute gifts for adults!

7 Tibetan Cuff Bracelets

When looking through the National Geographic’s world goods store, I have seen a lot of amazing Tibetan cuffs that feature dragons. To me, these cuffs are even more beautiful when they make the most of precious stones and minerals. If you can get your hands on a vintage piece, you will be astounded at the depths of color and craftsmanship. Personally, I love turquoise items!

World jewelry trends are great if you want to broaden your horizons on the accessories front. A lot of countries seem to reflect each other’s trends at first, but really they have their own unique ways of projecting their country’s beauty into jewelry. Personally, I am a massive fan of anything that has an oriental feel. If you adore a jewelry trend from another country, what is it?
